Reviews for Purple Night Club
Wow. How can I begin to describe Purple? Firstly, it is on-site at Chelsea Village, the supposedly upmarket housing and living complex by Chelsea football stadium. Purple pretends to be sophisticated and classy, and therefore charges outrageous prices for drinks. I had the misfortune of going there once with a group of work mates, and I have to say, I never ever want to go again. The staff and bouncers are rude, they keep you waiting outside for ages, in an effort to make the place look popular, but instead all it does is infuriate you before you even get inside. Forget about buying a round of drinks, because it'll be a good 45 minutes before you get to the bar. The music is cheesy, in the style of Infernos in Clapham. The only way you could possible survive this place is by being extremely drunk. Which, with the silly wait time outside, is all but impossible. Avoid at all costs. Another review I found sums it up perfectly:
"Rubbish. Meat market in the middle of a football ground with clientele that personify posh meets chav." I couldn't have said it better myself.
