Reviews for Madame JoJo's

Interesting, good to try.

Some very famous clubs are closing their doors at the moment (credit crunch Christmas, Dec 08). Some of these are past their moment, overpriced or their clientele has changed for the worse. I've given Madame Jojo's 5 stars because it's unique, and every event I've been to there has fitted perfectly into its ambience. Of course it's very Fifties inside but that gives it a timeless quality and the place has a strong character which makes it warm and welcoming. There are some excellent long running club nights here but also they've brought back Berlin-style cabaret which suits the place as it's so small and intimate. Madame Jojo's will never go out of fashion and everyone ought to go there to see what a real old Soho nightclub is like!

Been many times to this great nightclub that has the best atmosphere, great music and fantastic location right in the heart of Londons famous Soho. The venue has a variety of events, something for everyone, like White Heat for those who like independent music, they are constantly introducing new bands for those who get tired of whats mainstream out there!! Another great night is on Saturdays, Kitsch Cabaret which holds lots of old school music and lots of glitz and glamour. Perfect for hen nights, it's definately a must!! Did I also mention that the decor is amazing? Very vintage art deco :):)

Always a good laugh no matter what night you go! Great decor and atmosphere. If you're lucky you'll catch Paul Weller DJ'ing, as he's a friend of the in house DJ Keb :o)

A very entertaining evening recently. The girls I was with were mesmerized by Miss Sahara's legs "it's not fair when men have betterlegs than women!".

The service was good, performers good, though the girls enjoyed the sailor stripper at the start more than anyuthing else. Overall a fun evening, though expensive for what it was.

Always had a brilliant time there! Been there with my friends the past few months and always had a lot of fun. The people there are cool and friendly. Maybe I'll see you there ;-)

I had already heard loads of stuff about this club in the heart of Soho but only made it there myself last Friday. It really is different from the white leather Soho bars and the pretentious crowd most of us would rather avoid on a Friday night - and it def is a great place to go if you feel like dancing away all night. On Friday nights they have a night of 'legendary deep funk' with super-danceable music from the 'last five decades of black American music'. The place itself is dark, the walls are covered in weird mirrors and dark-red suede/velvet and there are super-comfy sofas all around, which altogether gives the club a super-loungy atmosphere. From what friends told me, it always seems to be pretty packed. But on Friday there always seemed to be enough room to boogie away on the sunken dancefloor at the back, to watch some of the best breakdancers I certainly have seen on these shores and jazzophiles strut their stuff and generally have a great time. Noone is taking him/herself too seriously here, which is probably the secret 'je ne sais quoi' about this little Soho gem. The place closes at 3am and is conveniently located to grab a panino at Bar Italia on the way home...

Sounds like a great place, always have been curious about this one but never got around to check it out, will definately do it now.

Likewise. The bringer of 'Legendary Deep Funk' is Keb Darge who is one of my favourite DJs (check out his compilation albums of the same name for some ridiculously funky tunes) but I've never managed to get my behind down to Madame JoJo's for his night. Maybe now I'll actually do it. Obrigado Annika!
