Reviews for Notting Hill Arts Club
great dance bar!
I have seen DJ derek there and it was fantatsic... it is a very friendly place , you don't need to be cool or anything else...
We went to Notting Hill Arts Club to celebrate a friends birthday. When I first arrived I was a little disappointed as it resembles a basement, but once I noticed the cool cat artwork I felt quite at home. We got there early as happy hour is between 6.00-9.30, a bottle of beer/glass of wine £2.10 or a cocktail for £4.50 although the selection is limited during happy hour. There were a couple of unsigned soul bands playing that night, they were all amazing. We had a great night and I would definately recommend Notting Hill Arts Club to anyone!!
Great Vibe!
I have only been to Notting Hill Arts Club once, but I can't wait to go again. From the outside, you barely know it is there ... but brewing beneath the ground is a friendly scene where people just enjoy the music with little pretension.
The music was fantastic. It started with a wicked funk, free form jazz band. Later the DJs came out with some classics.
The best part of it all seemed that everyone was welcome and no-one was there to impress. Very cool.
BTW ... all ages seemed to be welcome and comfortable
Haven for indie celebs and punk veterans. Had some amazing guest DJ's. Great crowd - small venue. Indie alternative arty groove. Dancing.
Every Wednesday, 6pm-2am, free till 8pm, £7 after
