The East Room opened in Shoreditch on Friday 01 February 2008 and is the latest addition to the international group of bars and members clubs comprising Milk & Honey (in London and New York), The Player (in Soho) and The Clubhouse (in Chamonix in the French Alps).
Existing members of Milk & Honey and The Player have automatically become members of The East Room and for the first couple of months we will also be open to anyone who can find the place, ring the buzzer and not act like an idiot once inside. We’d like a good mix of people to experience the place for themselves before deciding whether to apply for membership.
The East Room has a 24 hour licence and will initially be open from 11am (weekdays) and from 7pm (on Saturday) until 1am (Mon-Wed) and until 3am (Thu-Sat).
Reviews for The East Room
I love the quirky retro interior, and all the nooks and crannies you can snuggle into, from the twoesome booths to the patio/balcony/barbecue area, and the roof terrace.
The service is excellent, with a fabulous selection of wines, and lovingly made cocktails. Food is good but not memorable.
A great place to go with a couple of friends when you want to relax and talk, and feel like you're being well looked after.
Can't say I noticed the music. Maybe there wasn't any.
