Nude Espresso

Reviews for Nude Espresso

Nude Expresso is a cool place. Nude gives a whole new meaning to ‘space’ that’s vital to enjoy your coffee. I think I’m beginning to think that the Kiwi interior is basically Scandinavian with warmth. It’s actually huge compared to all the other bespoke coffee oases in London and like all antipodean joints, expect this place to be genuinely friendly and welcoming. The usual display of superior sweet and savoury snacks is beautifully laid out to entice the appetite.

Alas, the Flat White didn’t quite cut the mustard, it was smooth but it lacked kick. A second FW was ordered to clarify doubts; much the same as the first; am I right in suggesting that all FWs are supposed to be made with at least two shots of espresso? The two that I had certainly didn’t taste that way. Perhaps the mildness of the FW is part and parcel of Nude and consequently I belong to the ‘full-on-hit’ of coffee aficionados. Give Nude its due, the FW is the cheapest in London.

It has been said before, but the coffee here is head and shoulders above anything in the neighborhood - and these guys know how to serve it.

The flat white is impeccable (I can't ever leave without at least two of these), and even the decaf is exciting (who ever says that?).

The owners have clearly put a lot of effort into the place, and the food is all handmade and top notch. The atmosphere is cozy, inviting - and a perfect place to bring a laptop or a newspaper.

Top place!

Wow- what can I say.

I have been searching the whole of Spitalfields/ Shoreditch over and have finally found what I was looking for - a fantastic antipodean style flat white coffee - and the right atmosphere to go with it.

Nude Espresso on Hanbury Street - its fresh. The best coffee and food in London.

And its a place that I want to go - by myself or with friends, to sit back and listen to music and contemplate life - who would have thought you could find a haven like this so close to the city. Free Wifi too- that's a bonus.

Apparently this winter they are also putting on ‘Nude nights’ (when the cafe is open later, and turns into a cool wine bar.)

Obviously, I cant rave enough!
