Family-run Italian cafe and deli
A colleague recently introduced me to this very lovable Italian deli/cafe. Apparently it's been run by the same family for years and years and it really feels like a little corner of Italy in Clerkenwell (which is, anyway, the area of London where Italian immigrants traditionally settled). Big hams hanging from the ceiling and all that. As well as stocking up on Italian essentials for the larder, there are seats at the back and they do sandwiches and paninis made to order and very cheap. I had a tricolore salad that was absolutely delicious.
