  Flatbread to die for!

  This is somewhere that appeals to virtually everyone, amano serve very "fast" food and are yet very healthy with a wide choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  
  The produce is always very fresh with a dazzling array of options available. The flatbreads are beautiful and made in the ovens before your very eyes. You can create your own or be inspired by the menu of classic combinations.
  
  Amano has yet to disappoint and offers good value for money in an area which generally serves below average food at above average prices.
  
  The only downside is there are never enough spaces in the seating area!

  Wraps, Flats and, er, other nice things

  That would've been such a good title if I could think of a third thing that rhymed with 'Wraps', but there you go, you can't have everything I guess.
  
  Anyway, any lunchtime-focused place round Borough Market is going to have a bit of a challenge before they've even begun, and the fact that Amano is rammed even on Friday lunches is testament to the fact that it consistently manages to turn out brilliant wraps, flatbreads, salads and so on every day of the week.
  
  Now, bar my annoyance that they took my favourite wrap off the menu, I'm here most days even though I do try sometimes to vary my diet. Trust me, this is one of the best lunch places in the area and, as I've said, that's saying something.

  Amano - pizza!

  I love this place. It's a fail safe restaurant for a quick supper. Stick to the pizzas which in my opinion are rocking. Thin and crisp bases with toppings such as smoked mozarella, gorgonzola and rosemary - super super tasty. This place is a stones throw from the river and Borough Market but a world away from some of the over priced, knock off joints that it rubs shoulders with.
  
  Its tucked away a bit but that makes it all the better. Enjoy!

  Nice coffee. Excellent soup. The service can be a bit hit and miss, but the free wifi more than makes up for it.

  Cosy cafe/bar/pizza place just near Borough Market

  Current

  This place is a real chameleon. If you go in the daytime it's a cafe, serving good coffee as well as interesting lunchtime options - soups, wraps, salads and pastas (including takeaway options). After dark the lights go down and it suddenly looks more like a cosy wine bar. The food changes too - they serve delicious pizzas and sharing platters and wines by the glass. Nice squashy leather sofas and dark red decor.
  
  There aren't many cheap eats around here - it's all been influenced by the high-priced (though fantastic) gourmet fare on sale at Borough Market a few metres away. So this is a real gem.
