Reviews for Flat White

Not much to add to the reviews below, other than the weight of another good review.

Please, please if you have the choice of buying a coffee from a place where coffee is a treat rather than a foul tasting injection of caffine, then choose Flat White.

Really good coffee, nice people.

London is known for sh*t coffee so Flat White is real godsend. They use Monmouth coffee I understand. The food (bagels, rolls, cake etc.) isn't quite as good as the coffee, but is decent nonetheless. The staff are quite friendly, which makes a change for this part of town. The ambience and decor veers towards theme pub Kiwiana.

You don't need to be a homesick antipodean to enjoy great coffee and the gorgeous design and frienly service typical of a Down Under cafe. A must for coffee lovers and Aussies & Kiwis passing into W1.

So what exactly is a Flat White Coffee?

(From Wikipedia:) A Flat White is a coffee beverage served in Australia and New Zealand, prepared with espresso and milk.

The drink is generally made with 1/3 espresso and 2/3 steamed milk, very similar to the ingredients in a latte. The milk is prepared differently, with the volumised milk at the top folded into the lower layers. The resulting drink has only a very thin layer of froth at the top.

Australian lattes and flat whites are usually served in 215-240ml cups, making them stronger than some lattes served in some other countries.

this is a proper coffee shop. it's usually quite busy but the coffee is fantastic- the smell of ground beans is amazing. It's one of my favourite places to grab a coffee and chill out. all the staff are really nice and if you get too hot these gorgeous ice-cold lemony water to cool you down! definitely a place to visit if you are in the area!!

Let's face it, London is not renowned for its great coffee. But that looks set to change with the opening of a little café called Flat White Espresso Bar. A flat white is a style of coffee popular in Australia and New Zealand and you can now sample a perfect example deep in the heart of London's West End, just up from the little Berwick Street Market.

Flat White is just a small, unpretentious place. The owners are very friendly and are always busy making their excellent coffee topped with 'latte art'. This café serves up not only beautiful looking and tasting coffee, but also has a range of freshly made sandwiches and enough tempting treats to keep everyone happy, including home-made Anzac biscuits, and colourfully iced cup cakes.

If you can find a better coffee in London I'd like to hear about it!

Good to see more Flat White fans on here... I've been going there pretty much daily for the past year - I was introduced to it by a colleague who had lived and worked in Wellington for 6 years, and, since coming to London, really missed the NZ coffee... I've since become hooked, and can be found in there most mornings before work (and many afternoons too)

I love it....

I used to work closer - the back door of my old office was on Duck Lane, right where the back door of Flat White *should* be... Unfortunately, we had to walk right round. Now, I'm a little further away (okay, about 5 minutes walk), but still try to get there at least once a day...

The best, without a doubt, coffee in Soho, if not all of London.

Owned and run by Aussies and New Zealanders, Flat White is definately my favourite place to get coffee from in Soho. The staff are friendly, the coffee is good, and it's a lovely place to sit down with a book on a morning.

Definately highly recommended for anyone who wants to give their legs a break from walking around Soho...

Lucky you getting to go to Flat White every day!! As an expat-Aussie myself I sure miss a decent coffee - perhaps I should seek a job nearby!
