Reviews for Petitou
As soon as I entered through the doors, I was transported away from the gritty streets of Peckham and into the gentile lanes of Suffolk. The cafe was awash with mothers wearing Boden, children in Petit Bateau adorably smearing organic yogurt over their peaches and cream complexions, and daddy reading his copy of the Guardian. This certainly is a gem hidden in Peckham.
I went here for a bank holiday brunch and ordered scrambled eggs on toast with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. The eggs were perfectly cooked and not at all rubbery, but were a little underseasoned to my taste. The toast were amazing slabs of buttery seeded bread. The portions were prodigious.
The prices aren't cheap, but that's because you're paying for the quality of the produce - organic where possible. The ambience is wonderfully laid back and it's a great place to go with family or friends for a lazy weekend breakfast.
