A real asset to Gipsy Hill
The Blue Mountain Cafe in Gipsy Hill, I learned today, is one of three in London. The others being in Sydenham and Dulwich.
An attractive venue, with quality foods and friendly, yet unintrusive service, is what I found on my visit today. It's definitely another one for my 'must go again' list.
I had a very delicious traditional Chicken & Bacon pie, followed by a delicious Lemon Cake, and my friend followed her Chicken & Bacon pie (I know, we should have been more adventurous) with an Almond and Polenta Cake, which was drizzled with icing, and quite simply, is to die for. It was quiet when we visited, but apparently it does get busy.
I can't stress enough how lovely the service was from everyone there, and apparently this is typical of the other branches. It's certainly a welcome addition to my neck of the woods.
