Reviews for The Breakfast Club
that is ok
Relaxed, friendly and service seemed OK considering it was a busy Friday lunchtime - Full Monty fry-up at £6.20 was pretty reasonable, although could have done with an extra sausage... The fresh orange juice was good and in a decent size, and the bacon, bread, eggs etc were really good.
The service wasn't so bad like what people said here. It's much better than some other cafe around London. The food is great especially, breakfast is highly recommended, havent try lunch menu yet will pop in this place again for a quick lunch some other times.
I find this place can vary so much from visit to visit. I have been many times. The staff are pretty crap and don't really give a monkeys about the punters and most think that they are all a bit to cool to work in a cafe! The food can vary. Normally it's pretty good but had a fry up one weekend and it was awful. The ambience is cool but I like better service so will trying other places from now on.
I've been searching for a decent breakfast place in Soho for ages, but it seems the search goes on..
I've been here 4-5 times (out of desperation!) and the same set of issues have recurred:-
- The staff seem to act as though customers are an inconvenience.
- Poor food. One breakfast I got I had to send back twice because the sausages were so undercooked they were still frozen in the middle (seriously).
- Slow service. For 'cosy' in some of the other reviews read 'slow and disaorganised'. Also tends to open late (i.e., delayed start, not 'late openings'), and fairly slow service, so not a good place if you're meeting someone or are in a hurry.
Pretty disappointing all round. Shame, as it looks promising from the outside.
This is definitely my sort of place, laid back, cute, cosy and random.
They have an array of baskets at the counter filled with biscuits, cereal bars, cakes, chocolates, and you can order hot and cold meals from the menu. Most importantly they serve good coffee and the staff super friendly.
I love this place.
My favourite place for a leisurely Sunday breakfast: the coffe is good, the prices are reasonable & the chilled out atmosphere is infectious.
The decor is great too - don't be afraid of exploring & adding to the "secret" messages if you can find them!
I usually go to the one in Angel. This TBC is much nicer insider and feels more homely. I think it's the comfy couches in back. The food's great and the staff are always friendly. I usually get pancakes and vegetarian sausages. Mmmm...
This is my kind of place. Small, lived-in, low-key on the attitude, and good food. Even though there are only a handful of tables, I didn't feel like I was going to get the boot if I stopped off for a while to read my book. There is also a sunny "club" table at the front that is always a welcome feature when you're lunching solo. I'm going to disagree with the other reviewers about the cheapness of the place. I think the value of your meal was variable depending on what you ordered. Everything on the menu was about £5 if you ate in. Fairly standard for a full breakfast, but a little high for a jacket potato w/ baked bean, I think. That said, prices not surprising given the location and the atmosphere was such that I will definitely be back.
Decor made of warm hues and rustic kitch, combined with a friendly atmosphere and attentive staff make for a really pleasing lunch time coffee.
£2.10 for a Cappuccino, and £1.50 for a generously proportioned blueberry muffin. Free Wifi.
Jubbly!
