I presume place is a pun on plaice.

Lunch time they can be lively and crowded. Good salads. Not cheap.

On a Sunday after five they have cakes and coffees. I spotted something savoury on the counter nearer the balcony but that was probably left over from lunch.

The seats near the balcony are at small round tables. At the back you can sit on banquettes. Photos above the banquettes show Brent Cross and London.

You queue for the food.

We had excellent chocolate cake and I enjoyed good carrot cake with nuts on top and a pleasant mocha coffee.

The whole centre shuts at six on Sunday - Sunday trading laws, so they start clearing up around you.

Toilets are conveniently nearby, through the door beside the cashier.
