Reviews for Cafe Mode

This isn't fine dining or even a destination eatery and there's a limited menu but if you're nearby, hungry and don't want to spend too much, you can't go wrong here. That is if you fancy a pretty decent pizza or a good burger. The pasta is hit and miss in equal measure.
All wines available by the glass but best avoid the lowest end of the small choice offered.
The best thing is the owner, Mohamed.
If he knows yer face you'll get at least a free drink, starter, digestif, side or coffee. You just can't say no.
Very popular early evenings and lunch time but you can nearly always get a table.

I really liked this place. It's friendly, down to earth, and has surprisingly nice pizzas (the burgers are good too). When I went, the (or one of the) manager(s) gave us a very warm welcome. A very nice Moroccan chap. The staff were all friendly in fact. A cool little place to go to if you need a break from the buzzy covent garden shopping scene. I think Amoneg may even have organised a birthday night there if I remember correctly. I'm sure she can fill you in on the details.

I don't think I've ever been to Cafe Mode. I had my birthday celebration at a restaurant called Mezzano on Finchley Road!! Walid 1 - Meriem 0

Cafe Mode, is a small unpretentious Italian restaurant that makes surprisingly good food. I do enjoy their rocket & parma pizza which is quite nice. I'm told that the burgers they make are also pretty good. I know burgers and Italian restaurant doesn't seem to coincide very well, but put it this way they cater for more than one type of food tastes. At the back of the restaurant they have this wall with small holes in it where they put candles (see picture) which can adds to the atmosphere. Overall a pretty good place.
