The Charing Cross Sports Club boasts four squash courts and two badminton courts as well as a swimming pool and gym facilities. They also have a treatment room and sunbed facility. A bar is available to relax in after all that hard work.
Despite its name, Charing Cross Hospital is in fact near Barons Court, on Fulham Palace Road, and houses a very cheeky little sports complex. A tiny gym (which i never used, instead opting for the Energize Gym at the Hammersmith and West London College), a swimming pool and a few squash courts. This was a real gem of a find for me, because until i discovered the place, i was having to travel to various other squash courts by tube, wasting a lot of time on public transport. And we all know how enraging unnecessary tube travel can be.
Of course it's not such a gem of a find for those who live nowhere near Barons Court.
They also have a cheap little bar, complete with sports TV channels and pool tables, so you can undo all the good work you just put in on the courts or in the pool.
