I have lived in Muswell HIll for many years and have been to many salons (let's face it - there is a wide choice in MH!) and never been impressed until I had my hair styled by Charlotte Murray. The salon is absolutely beautiful. I was made to feel really comfortable and felt extremely pampered. I have had my hair cut and blow dried by charlotte many times now since the shop opened and would never go anywhere else. Charlotte just knows exactly what I want and cuts it perfectly. My blow dry always stays put until I wash it and because the cut is so good, it is easier for me to style it too. Also, you can tell that Charlotte is familiar with many 'stars and celebrities' because of her professionalism and personality - in fact - I think she would be really good on This Morning restyling people who need it!!

The colourist here- Emma is excellent- she can really choose the right blend of colours well. Charlotte's cutting is average, nothing special. Most of my friends who have been here find Charlotte intimidating and unfriendly. When I came, i saw Emma and Suzanne gossiping about me in the mixing room, (yep- Emma was caught red handed and looked very sheepish)-which really put me off. I know hairdressers can be bitchy, but i like to relax and make an afternoon of being pampered. I have since defected- would never go back- and go to Alfredo in San Rizz who is much more charming.

I have been going to the salon since it’s opened and have never been disappointed. Great atmosphere and amazing staff you always leave feeling great and more importantly looking great!!! Last week I had my friends Hen night and we started it off by having a beauty pampering session in the salon. I can’t recommend it enough; it was a lovely way to kick off our night. We had the salon to ourselves and the staff all made us feel really special. We had our hair, make up and nails done in a beautiful and relaxed environment we all left feeling fabulous.

I've also been going to this salon since it opened just over a year ago and they now have a new stylist called Jules who is excellent. Great expertise and style. Also really pleased with the colour by Emma.

I never normally write reviews but then this is the first time I have left a Salon feeling so pleased! I fancied a change for January and my idea was to chop my long hair into a neat, sophisticated Bob. I live in Muswell Hill where there are numerous Hair Salons and the Princess like decor of this Salon had caught my eye in the past, so I decided to try it out only on that basis!

My stylist was a lovely American lady, Susanna. To start with she gave me the best consultation I've ever had. She asked what I wanted (I showed her pictures) and she asked what in particular I liked about the pics and what I was aiming for day-to-day. She also gave me an idea of what was realistic (the Bob's in the pic's most likely had hair straightend with Iron's etc).

Only once she was sure what I wanted did the cutting commence. And boy what a cut. I could tell that she was putting so much effort, concentration and passion in to the cut. She really wouldn't stop until it was perfect - wat more can you ask for? The cut is superb and I have had comment after comment on how great it is. She also gave advice on how to blow dry/use straighteners for best effect for maintenance.

To top it all off everyone there was super friendly and the cut was £50 (£60 for Charlotte herself). £50 is pretty standard for the area and the extra TLC is above and beyond. I really have been blown away and would recommend the Salon whole heartedly.

I didn't know at the time but Charlotte Murray has worked with many celebs and on photo shoots, tv etc so is used to high standards. I believe she and her staff have a real passion for hair.

I saw this same woman and she was brilliant! But she has now left. Does anyone know where she went to?

If you do find out please, please let me know! She's the only person who has been able to deal with my curly hair.
