Reviews for The Player

Credit to my friend Andreas who took us there. been there 17/7/07. open till 12 during the week which is great. The cocktails are very good, I liked the Dakiri and the Mojito. Look on the icons next to your cocktail to see in which glass they will be served to avoid disappointment... cocktails starts from £6.5
There is a sense of privacy in the atmosphere because the space is divided to spots. You can sit in a corner of sofas and it feels a bit like your own living room...
on the weekends expect to pay something at the entrance. Music is good and not too loud.
They could add an exit sign on the door because when I tried to exit, i opened the kitchen door...

fantastic little soho bar, hard to find but a great place especially if you're trying to impress

Basement bar which is cosy but cool. The bar staff are really friendly and the drinks are good. Typical london bar prices (so not cheap) but worth it for somewhere different.

Go before 9pm and you don't have to pay an entrance fee. Also not the easiest place to find, there is a black door and its near Agent Provacteur.

Despite being situated in the heart of Soho, this great venue is tucked away from the eyes of the masses with an unassuming entrance. It would be just as easy to walk past without noticing save for the door host generally venturing occasionally past the entrance.

Upon entering, one steps into a cosy lounge cum club drinking den open until 2am on weekends with patrons generally hailing from the art media and music industries. The DJ provides background music early on during the evening but eventually has almost everyone grooving to his beat.

Drinks are reasonably priced and there's an extensive list of cocktails to ensure that you don't step outside with a slightly less than sober smile. A must for bar-o-philes.

Note: the door has a guestlist policy.
