I work locally and i think this place is a great little venue to go after work. Party onto the early hours in an intimate setting. You occasionally see some crazy people in there but for me, that adds to the bar tok appeal. Its a late bar with some late people!

Service is really good too. Always fast, always good. Reasonable prices too.

I stumbled upon this place after seeing a gig at the Roundhouse at the end of 2008. As it is literally over the road from the Roundhouse I was extremely pleasantly suprised to find that it was crammed with other smelly, drunken gig-goers like myself :)

It was lively in terms of the good dance tunes being played by the DJ, and fairly busy through-out our visit, but also seemed like a lovely place to meet for a date (there were a few couples snuggling up in the little cosy, velvety booths). It attracts an interesting selection of people too. There was even a guy there doing some elaborate movements with a glass ball, which was pretty impressive and slightly bizarre.

Really friendly and helpful staff who are up for a chat, and lovely cocktails - pretty reasonably priced too.

Just a really nice bar that isn't pretencious and doesn't seem to have been taken over by the student, gothy, indie crowd yet. I'll be heading back.
