OK the only good thing about the bar that used to be here (in my opinion) was its location - tucked away behind the High Street, free from tourists, it felt like a hidden gem and a spot where you could have a quiet drink even on a crazy busy Camden Town weekend.

Now though, The Black Heart has launched and not only is the location brilliant, but the bar is really, really fun. Run by the same people who have the Hoxton Bar & Kitchen and done in the same kind of simple decor - lots of black but with some pretty ace artwork on the walls, with good food on a simple menu and a great selection of beers on tap and in bottles.

Opening night aside (mayhem - all booze was free) it's become somewhere I'm going to at every chance, and I recommend you go and try it too. But don't tell too many people.
