Reviews for INDO

Tiny little boozer on Whitechapel road, right opposite the East London Mosque. A great change from your typical east end pub, and one of the best places to drink for miles around. The staff and clientele are all friendly, the food is legend (particularly the pizza) all in all can't be beat...
It's a little bit trendy and pretentious, art on the walls etc, but that's not really a criticism. Does get a bit rammed in the evenings though, so don't expect a seat. Often open late late with music (live or DJ).

Highest recommendation.

A tiny, narrow pub on Whitechapel road, Indo Bar features excellent live DJs on most Friday and Saturday nights. Together with a good selection of beers (try the Budvar Black!), a wonderfully rickety interior, and a late licence, Indos attracts an excellent mixed crowd of friendly fellow drinkers. Perfect for after a dinner at near-by Tayyabs or for those who are sill looking for a drink once your standard brick lane hangouts have closed for the night

the Shoreditch / Hoxton influence can definitely be felt in this little bar, but its tiny tiny size and crowded nature of some evenings can definitely make for an interesting experience.

Lots of different bottled beers and ciders on offer - a pleasing range to suit most tastes. A friend enjoyed a good glass of wine, and had previously ordered food which was tasty and not overpriced.

Definitely the sort of place to go back to, maybe at the start of an evening out - but perhaps not spend too much time later on, as it can get very crowded of a weekend evening.

Have heard a lot about coffee and chilled atmosphere during the day, so will probably return to check this out!

It's okay but I certainly wouldn't spend a lot of money in it. London has far much better to offer under the "unpretentious and refreshing" labe

I've spent way too much money in this place. It's really small, but it works - just one room, with the art work on the walls changing every few months (usually up for sale). It's very unpretentious (which is refreshing compared to Shoreditch).

Often has a DJ at the weekend - mostly good music (but depends on what you like though...obviously).

The people that work there are a lot of fun - would definitely recommend a few drinks here

Oh and did i mention that the foods really good too?
