This place is loved by everyone I take there.

Just round the back of Clapham Common High Street is where you find this hidden jewel - for this reason not many people realise it's there.

It's a friendly, unpretentious, local feeling down to earth pub - which is rare to say for this part of London!

The beers are main selling point drinks wise, it's a serious business and done very well!

A refreshing find - in more ways than one!

If you like good old fashioned pubs, this is the place for you. It is very friendly and has a really nice atmosphere. It is right in the centre of Clapham and very convenient and easy to get to. The front door virtually steps out on to the road, and the whole place looks really nice and is presented well. My other half said the beers were really good (I am a wine drinker I'm afraid!) and he is generally quite fussy, so it must have been good there! We go there regularly now, and it is open late. Until 1am I think. Unfortunately this is not good for our bank balance as it can be hard to leave! Both the locals and staff are friendly so you will feel very much at home here.

Basically.

The Guy knows his beer. Really does know his beer. So many of the places in or around Clapham serve bad beer, or even worse only sell larger.

It is well presented and looked after. The staff are friendly and nice, and although the front is essentially onto the road, it is great for people watching.

Wow what a refreshing change. A real good quality old fashioned pub with friendly staff, a great selection of beers and wines that doesn't smell in the centre of Clapham.

Been a change of management recently (well actualyl I think an old guy has returned) and it feels like a different place.

Not only that but it's open till 1am on Thursdays to Saturdasy!
