Reviews for Bluu
What a breath of fresh air.
Hoxton can have some pretty nice bars and some horrible ones too. This is one of the nicest, the staff at Bluu made me feel welcome; there were no pretentious attitude and the food was excellent, good and wholesome.
It’s becoming very difficult to find a warm and welcoming bar in Hoxton, but this one fits the bill.
1 Hoxton Square is the home of the first Bluu, the name derives from the original name of this London site, the famous Blue Note Jazz Club. What makes Bluu unique is the fact that the fine dining restaurant, premium ground floor bar and basement bar all operate as one and they create enormous synergy within the venue. Now in its fourth year of running, Bluu underwent a refit in 2004 bringing in elements of the Bluus in Nottingham and Liverpool. A larger basement area and new bar provide the place for late night drinking in the square. Chef´s Speciality Dish: Fillet of Alton Manor Beef, pomme Anna, wild mushrooms and Madeira
