Reviews for Windsor Castle

This is quite simply the best pub in London. The landlord is passionate about his pub and the service is outstanding.

This is a nice but very busy London pub. You probably have to have at least a mild liking for Royalty given that I have never seen so many commemorative plates marking Royal events from throughout the years - they are even on the ceiling. Quite amusing and a talking piece if you run out of conversation. They also serve Thai food if you get a bit peckish.

If you go along on an evening when the Handlebar Club is in residence you get to see a whole range of weird and wonderful moustaches. When I was there recently we even got free moustaches to wear, which all added to the fun atmosphere. Never before have I been to a pub where a total stranger came up to me and shook my hand as I left to thank me for being there. Not your typical pub!

5 stars for pure entertainment value as this is the global H.Q. for the Handlebar Club, the official fellowship for mega moustachioed British gentlemen.

The interior of the Windsor Castle Pub is littered with Handle Bar Club photos and memorabilia.

If you can’t grow impressive facial hair like me (I blame my poor genes and wife). Don’t fret, you can always drown your sorrows in one of their many brews on tap.

Got guests from out of town? Want to give them a taste of a slightly bonkers traditional British Pub in the heart of London? The Windsor Castle ticks all the boxes.

A traditional pub that is an Aladin's cave of patriotic nick-nacks, bits-and bobs and this-and-that strewn around its heavily covered walls. Prepare for charming cheesyness.

I think Barbara Windsor may own this pub. We've certainly spotted her in here before. Do they serve Thai food here?

Yes, I think they do serve Thai food but I have not sampled it...yet...not the main attraction me thinks but I may be wrong.
