    Nice pub / average food

I like the pub but would not eat the Sunday roast again. I had to send mine back after being given a plate of fat and gristle instead of roast lamb but to their credit, they did change it right away and without question. Still, the roast potatoes were not remotely crisp, the carrots advertised as "buttered" had never sniffed a butter dish and I'm sorry, but who eats boiled parsnips? Everything was unseasoned and bland. On the whole, not worth £8.90.

    Cute pub

Not bad at all - young crowd, good bar snacks menu (but I don't know how the food is), a good selection of beer (they have Fruli on tap!) and wine by the glass, all at decent prices.

    Better than anything in Tooting

You're spoilt for choice for good pubs in HH these days but this was the first of them. I met a friend from Tooting there once and he went misty eyed with regret as he compared it to the shabby selection of pubs on his doorstep. Ha ha. It's your standard gastro boozer but it has a consistently good atmosphere and is perfect in the winter.

The newly opened Florence round the corner probably pips it though...
