Retro Rock & Roast Dinners
Between the beaten track of Bethnal Green Road and Hackney lies this quiet/noisy Pub and Gallery. Meet friends or family for lunch/dinner/drinks and take in the retro music from the jukebox, join in with the locals buzzing around the outside area or contemplate the Art exhibitions that can be found up the secret staircase...
The Approach is a great place for a first date, smokers (you can smoke anywhere in the pub) or sports teams weary from too much excercise in Victoria Park needing a beer (or seven..)
The Sunday Lunch is particularly noteworthy- just make sure you get there early as the Roasts are locally renowned and certain dishes seem to run out after about 3pm.
how to find it:
Leave Bethnal Green Tube and head up Cambridge Heath Road until you get to the toy museum. Turn right along Old Ford Road, walk past York Hall and carry on until you get to the junction with Approach Road on your left. Walk up Approach road for a short while and you should see the pub on your left.
