Reviews for The Moose Bar

i went on a saturday night recently and didn't have any problem with bouncers like some others - there didn't seem to be any. anyway, it's ok for a drink or two but it didn't really live up to my expectations. i thought it was going to have a log cabin sort of feel to it but it doesn't. also, it's got the feel of a place that's beyond its prime. it looks a bit ragged in places (ripped wallpaper etc).

My friend took me there, but I just hated the place. Can't believe how bad it was!
Because:
1. Their bouncer is an arrogant stupid shit bag, really rude with the customers - even for no reason at all!
2. Using their toilet (it gives new meaning to the word"dirty")and especially a cloakroom is a nightmare, the worst ever! Takes you ages and ages just to leave your coat or get it back. And all because the guy at the cloakroom really takes his time.
3. Their DJ is a joke, and he is not taking any requests
4. The place is overcrowded, why would they let so many people into the small venue like that?
The place is horrible, I will never go back.

We always land up in the Moose... used to be called the Camel. They must have some sort of large 4 legged animal thing going on.

The bar upstairs is fine but nothing special and the downstairs area simply offers a decent area to have a dance.

I'm not sure I understand what all the fuss is about here. It's pretty average really.

I went to The Moose Bar encouraged by the reviews. I found it's a cosy different bar, good for a change but not really the coolest. We had a good time drinking cocktails and dancing with old commercial songs.

Went to this bar last night to meet friends after work and had a great time, the cocktails were fantastic and we took total advantage of the happy hour(s). I really cant think of anything bad to say about the place, staff were friendly, food was good, Music was right up my street. Had a bit of a dance and left about 12.30am great night all round. Totally recomended. And if nothing else you have to check out the hairy seats!!!

As Time Out Says...'There is no reason not to like this bar'.
Designed to look like an Alpine Lodge. Great Atmosphere. Happy Hour from 5-9pm on Selected drinks. Huge Cocktail Menu. Really cool Basement Bar and Club. Open till 2 Mon- Thurs, Open till 3 Fri & Sat. Friendly staff. Bar Food.
