A handsome pub in what I presume is a converted bank, the Jugged Hare serves a good selection of ales and is a Fuller's Pie and Ale pub so will sell you a decent pie as well. There's an attractive gallery section in the high-ceilinged room, and all would be perfect if it weren't for a determinedly rowdy clientele. Not that there's anything illegal in sitting at the end of a bar shouting at the waitresses, I just wish it was.
