Awesome eastend public house, fullers beers, board games on the bar! One stroppy waitress who was having a bad day but everything else was sitting pretty! Feed on an excellent menu and then wander through the park and feed the wildlife! A fab sunday in London. Get on!! Gx

The Royal Inn is a regular meeting point for friends around Victoria Park. We only got round to eating there very recently and had a great Sunday lunch. Arriving at 1pm, it was already very busy and fortunately we had already made a reservation so were able to get a table immediately. It was without much deliberation we all chose the roast beef. The portion was huge with food almost falling off the plate. The beef was beautifully roasted, crispy roast potatoes and vegetables that were perfectly cooked.

Just a couple of points are taken off here for the high price of the Sunday lunch and that there are too many kids. I'm not against kids at restaurants but kids running amock in a pub isn't quite right.

I am so surprised that no one has reviewed this pub yet! It is fab and I would highly recommend their Sunday Lunches- advisable to book a table. Lunch is served till about 3/4pm but I would advise booking an early table to guarantee your first choice of Sunday lunch. It is packed every Sunday and sometimes service at the bar takes a while but it is definitely worth the wait. There are board games to play and it is a very cosy old pub. We absolutely love it- the sunday roast esp the beef is incredible. Prices are good too - about £12. The staff are very friendly and polite- I can't rave about this pub anymore, I'm already craving one of their Sunday lunches !
