As one of only a tiny handful of decent bars in the Clapham Junction area, The Holy Drinker is patronised way above its worth. That's not to say it's a bad place, it's not - good selection of beers and wines, pleasant room, friendly bar staff - but it's always just so busy it's hardly ever worth the hassle dropping in.

...wooden fire, maybe a game of chess, extensive beer and wine lists, flat screen on the wall with champions league on... (no sound though so to keep the music on..) what more do u want?
the crowd there is nice too and its full of very good looking women, though this is not the reason why i'd give it 4 stars...
I find that there are not many bars around Clapham junction where u can sit down in confortable sofas and have a chat... this is one i would def. recommend for that purpose!
