There are two menus, bar and restaurant, and both are pretty good.
The bar menu is the sort of stuff you would expect - burgers, bangers and mash, etc. And it's fine - although I don't think that serving it on a wooden board makes it taste any better! The cheesecake had a very strange texture which didn't make me want to order it again, but other desserts were nicer.

This is a relatively recent addition to the area - at least in its present incarnation.
There are two menus, bar and restaurant, and both are pretty good.
The bar menu is the sort of stuff you would expect - burgers, bangers and mash, etc. And it's fine - although I don't think that serving it on a wooden board makes it taste any better! The cheesecake had a very strange texture which didn't make me want to order it again, but other desserts were nicer.
The restaurant is a different matter entirely. The menu is quite unusual and ambitious for what is essentially a local gastropub, with lots of interesting ingredients. And they are cooked and presented pretty well too. The home-smoked salmon deserves particular mention.
The service was pretty good in both bar and restaurant, and I will definitely be visiting again.
