Reviews for Dirty Martini
I was shocked after hearing so many good thing about this place that it was far from glam. This might not always be the case mind you. i was there in a Sat night after 9pm. After a rather long wait I was not expecting the boring crowd i had to share a bar this. More topman & DP's than topshop and reiss for men - get my drift?
I've not given up on this place yet. i'm giving it one more go to impress me. This time I'm gonna try to get there before before 9pm and on a week day night. If nothing else the drinks will be 1/2 price.
Great cocktail bar in the centre of Covent Garden on the main square. Prices are high as you would expect from this area but go before 9pm as it’s happy hour and you can get cheap cocktails! The cocktails are amazing – made with fresh fruit etc. The martinis are good but I definitely recommend the mojitos and the raspberry mojito. It’s quite crowded on a weekend and there aren’t many places to sit. The seating areas that there are can be hired out for a group or party. Also, the bar can get very busy and it may take 20 minutes or more to get served on a busy evening. Would definitely recommend visiting this bar early evening to start off your night with a classy cocktail!
Was dreading a visit by the inlaws- they wanted to head into London for some food, theatre and drinks. As a recently new Londoner, I havnt yet found a local etc and needed somewhere to take them for a nice cosy cocktail.
The happy hour makes things a lot more accesible- the martini's were an absolute bargain. We had a number of drinks, picking and choosing is so much fun and while the staff could have been a little friendlier- they were rather uber trendy and a little conceited- the drinks made up for it. Great lighting- you can get that drunk rosy glow and no one will notice until you head to the bathrooms- which weren't that great by the way.
All in all though, a great place with great drinks and a hint at prentention which is always fun to see occasionally.
Happy hour is until 9pm and that's when I advise you to go! Cocktails are all around £7-8 which can really get expensive but until 9pm it's half price. It's hard to get a table as it's tiny and people can reserve them but it's a cool, classy bar with great martinis!
I would recommend the Lychee martini :) 10/10
