Seriously some of the rudest barstaff I've ever encountered - so bad it's almost funny.

The Westbourne is a west london institution. Conventiently far from the weekend madness of Notting Hill the pub has a very nice feel to it and a rich menu to choose from. Perfect after a long day walking with your other half through Portobello Road, browsing through the same old shops, never really buying anything - not sure how you ended up there again, after you told yourself that there are better things to do on a weekend morning last time your were dragged along(phew!!)
Some may find the crowd to be a bit on the pretentious side, but don't let that put you off.

I Think this is the definite place to hang out with your friends on a Sunday afternoon. It has something differente and the atmosphere is fantastic. It's hip!

The Westbourne belongs to the family of the less traditional pubs - it has funky, different furniture and definitely a more adventurous decor than your standard pub fare. During the day it has a cafe feel. The downside of the place is that it is ALWAYS crammed full of people. If you can catch it on a quiet hour though, enjoy.

crowded at the weekend, great local place,
friendly place, didn't try the food but the Cow dining room is just opposite so the competition will be difficult...
