Reviews for The Grand Union

What a great place, I went down on a Friday night after work, they call it Friday Club and it's aimed at the local businesses then carrying on all night, there were dj's from 6 playing great tunes and very lively and happy bar staff. We had a burger meal for 4.99 that was great. I will definitely be going again and would recommend it to anyone who can make it.

I've discovered a bar underneath my work which makes the best burgers I've ever tasted. I'm pretty hard to impress when it comes to burgers, as I'm not usually a fan. I've been frequenting this place on regular basis now, and I'm slowly working my way through their vast burger menu. I haven't been disappointed yet, in fact I'm enjoying my new found love for burgers. It's cracking place as well, with beautiful furniture and decor, which adds to the great atmosphere it has. The one thing I will say though is, you get a lot for your money, and I always struggle to get through my chips. I give my seal of approval though, I can see it would be great for parties as well, cos it's a great venue.

whilst meeting with one of my clients we broke for lunch downstairs at the new bar. 'only does burgers' was the shout, so i wasn't expecting too much if im honest, but what i got i was not expecting. Very cool and relaxed (think Lounge bar, with second hand retro furniture) with loads of mini booths (nice touch!) and a list of about 30 different burgers. these included lamb, chicken & veggie burgers so there really was something for everyone. as there 23 of us, the service was remarkably good & quick (handy when you're hungry). GU (grand union, or however else it is marketed) would have got 5 stars from me but for the fact that there were no fries provided with the burger, and i think 2.95 is excessive anywhere for a portion of chips, let alone a coffee cup sized bowl. i will definately go back.
