Reviews for Roxy Bar & Screen

The Roxy on Borough High Street is possibly a perfect destination. In essence it is a bar with a full size cinema screen that has a varied and interesting programme and an audience that is interested in what's on and buzzy and chatty the rest of the time. The food they serve is okay, possibly the weakest thing, though both food and bar service is friendly and helpful. If you're looking for something interesting to do when you meet up for a drink check out the programme here.

I went here with a friend as part of a promotion with Beefeater gin, the venue had created a special London-themed cocktail. The bar has a free screening room at the back, that was showing Borat when we visited. The barman was really friendly, explained the drinks to us, and the cocktails were expertly mixed. This is a lovely addition to Borough High Street, and we'll definately return.

Roxy is a trendy, independent bar featuring daily digital screenings accompanied by good food and drinks. The weekly film listings cater for all tastes, as does the food.

A friend and I recently caught the Saturday matinee - 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' with the legendry Marilyn Munroe. We had a generous lunch and then, as the film started, settled down to finish off the wine... lovely.
