39a Hoxton Square, London, N1 6NN

In the 1920's, the good folk of Shoreditch shopped here for toasters, hoovers and the latest brand of gramaphone. After 80 odd years, the original sign shines again over the front door and the dome on top of the building again illuminates the East London sky.

Reviews for Electricity Showrooms

I really like this place for meeting friends at the start of a night. We tend to stop buy for a quiet one on week nights afterwork where it's nicely buzzy but you still have hope of getting one of the wooden tables or bences (I like the one with the sewing machine pedal underneath the best).

Haven't tried the food but have been tempted by the aromas which could mean it's good. Or just that I'm a hungry drunk.

Decent drinks selection with plenty of beers on tap if that's your thing. But I personally will be avoiding downstairs with it's light up dance floor and mostly cheesy music.

I could spend my whole night here.

Upstairs isd perfect for starting a night, it's busy, lively and they stock a good selection of rums.

Then head downstairs to the club, I couldn't stand still the music was so good!

I had a great night out recently at the Electricity Showrooms. I always saw it as I passed by and wanted to see what it was like, but only recently made it inside. It's very nice and quite spacious, though it does get quite packed on the weekends. My friends and I chatted for awhile in the nice, quite relaxed atmosphere upstairs and we realized there were some good retro tunes one. We made our way downstairs and saw that they have a light up dancefloor! So from there we boogied the night away and had a great time. Drinks were a little expensive, but no more than you'd expect on a night out in Shoreditch.
