Reviews for The Wellington
Another Nicholsons pub which lives up to others in the area.
Although rather small inside this pub is full of character, the wooden bar itself is the oldest in London.
A great choice of beers on tap with helpful smiley staff. Sitting outside is great wit the hustle and bustle of The Strand and Aldwych passing you by.
This pub does get fairly busy, especially before and after a performance of the Lion King in the next door theatre.
Above the main bar is a table service restaurant, although you can order food to eat at a table downstairs or outside if you prefer.
An excellent pub to visit for breakfast, a full English breakfast costs £4.99 including tea or coffee (2008). A great place to start your day, minutes away from Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden and Piccadilly.
If the pub is too busy then try the Coal Hole further up The Strand towards Trafalgar Square.
