small and quirky - perfect little hide away in town.

Bourne & Hollingsworth is a new basement bar in Fitzrovia, located on the corner of Rathbone Place and Percy Street. It sounded intriguing, so we popped in for a drink before heading for a meal nearby. We almost didn't see it at first, as the entrance is around the corner in Percy Street.

Go down the stairs, yank open the door and you will find yourself in a small bar, which looks a bit like your grandmothers sitting room. Loving the floral wallpaper, dim lighting, and the fact that we were able to get a cosy seat in the corner on a Friday night - perhaps it fills up later. Also loved the eclectic mix of music they were playing - a good range of oldies - from the Bee Gees to Billy Idol!

I went here last night with a friend, and it is such a nice place to have a drink and a chat, its not pretentious, its no clincial like some of the big bars and its nots tryin to be uber cool ! plus the music is not thumping, so you can have a real chat with a mate - would def recommend it

reminds me of sitting in my great aunt's living room when I was a kid...although the cocktails make it much more fun!
This makes such a difference from the rubbish you find in central london nowadays
