A traditional british city pub, with a good range of beers, the decor inside is different to what you would expect to find. Make sure you read the back of the menu to find out more about the history of this building, including how it used to be used to store coal for the Savoy Hotel.

The food is good, as it is at most Nicholsons pubs, of which this is one.

The breakfast is particularly good, as the pub is normally quiet in the morning. A great place to start your day with Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden and Leicester Square within easy walking distance.

The nearest tube station is Charing Cross.

This is where all the city gents hang out, its one of those bustling kind of pubs, it reminds me of some european type bar, very cosmopolitan and a great atmosphere, a good stop off place as its on the was into the west end, heading through Covent garden, or on the way home heading towards charing cross station. I have used this place on many an occasion and never been disappointed. Very busy you will be lucky to get a table or even a seat.I will give this one a big thumbs up, good selection of drinks and wines, look in you may love it.

You wouldn't want to while away the afternoon here, but it's convenient and has a bit of personality - check out the paintings on the balcony level.
