Had a perfect Sunday afternoon in here at the weekend: friendly and mega cosy atmosphere, great tunes, a few pints of Addlestones and an exemplary Sunday dinner. Proper chunks of pink roast beef with a very tasty yorkshire pudding and good enough roasties with the bowl of steamed veg on the side. (Probably worth mentioning for a balanced review that despite my being pleased with my food, two of my mates chose not to eat on the basis that they'd had crap food here before.)

The staff were brilliant too - being a bit hungover I changed my mind about which dinner I wanted about ten minutes after I'd ordered which was probably extremely irritating for them but they pretended it wasn't a bother at all, even though it had suddenly got a bit crazy at the bar and they probably had better things to be getting on with than dealing with someone who barely even knew their own name. I look forward to many more Sunday meat and cider sessions there over the winter months: all it's missing is a roaring fire.

Lovely traditional Sunday roasts cooked by a Thai family, big portions and cooked with grat care, served with lovely fresh steamed vegetables. £8-9 for a main. Brillinat jukebox with vinyl and a good range of beers. Nice big leather sofas to relax with a Sunday paper and a beer afterwards.
