Everytime I meet friends for a drink in The Ramble Inn it never ceases to amaze me how friendly everyone is in this pub, incredible that it is in the centre of London and everyone is willing to have a chat over a pint with you.
There is a range of drinkers from the locals to crowds of friends but throughout the night everyone starts talking and drinking with other people in the pub whom they have just met.
The landlord and landlady have a knack of making everyone feel welcome in their pub which ensures a relaxed and atmospheric night.
I wish there were more pubs like this in and around London.

The Ramble Inn is easily the best pub in Tooting. This Irish bar is decorated in a traditional style and is minimal with its memorabilia, unlike the tackiness of Irish pub chain O’Neill’s. The room itself is long and narrow but as the staff operate a table service you never need to worry about over crowding. The bar staff are always around to serve with exceptionally friendliness –often, they’ll come to the table when the drinks are running low. Their wonderful service is definitely a major factor as to why the pub is so congenial. Contrast it to other nearby pubs –the violent Railway Bell or staid Long Room – and it’s plain to see why this pub is so loved by all. If only more pubs were like it.
