Reviews for Abacus Bar

A trendy bar near Bank station, Abacus in its new avatar is a good place to hang out. Preferred by city workers, the place is also is a favourite with many of the trendy folks. There are lots of drinks on offer and the food is actually good. There is also a dance floor at the lower levels and it seems to be very popular with the girls.
One piece of warning though. There are few mini-cab drivers and suspicious looking characters outside. I have not heard of any problems but it does feel odd once you step out late in night.
Overall, a trendy joint for those wanting a late night drink.

Wow... since I last went here so much has changed!
All for the better.
At first I was hesitant, having had a medium service before.
But I was never more surprised, we were welcomed by a lovely hostess who came by every so often to see how we were doing.
The food has definitely improved and the service was impeccable. Speed, cleanliness and quality. Everything I need in a fabulous night out!!
Def return

We went to this bar on good reccomendation, hoping to find somewhere where a group of girls can have a drink,a dance and a laugh. On first appearence it was promising, packed full of city workers and seemed to have a good atmosphere, there were many different rooms to choose from and quite an extensive drinks list (some of which hugely expensive so we stuck to the wine!) The decoration was appealing- quite trendy and the wait at the bar wasnt too bad as there were quite a few! BUT after being hassled by many dodgy characters and having several phones stolen we swore that we would not be returning here, well certainly not in the near future. Overall whilst the actual bar was nice, i would advise anyone going to keep an eye out for their belongings and stick together as some of the people there are not very nice!

Did you go to the RVC party that TrustedPlaces had on Tuesday? If you didn't check out Parker McMillan which is reviewed here as this place is good if you're looking for a drink, a dance and a laugh in all safety.
