I went to Pickwicks for the first time recently and I loved it! This small bar is filled with character….and was filled with happy punters when we rocked up at around 11pm on a Friday night.

The few wines I had drunk earlier in the evening may have had 'something' to do with my immediate love for the place....that and the fact that there was a major sing-a-long happening - a talented guy was doing an excellent job strumming his guitar and a singing all of those classics that are guaranteed to get the crowd joining in.

There was no chance of us getting a seat, so we just milled around, a beer/wine in hand, making new friends and singing a tune or two. Magic.

Pickwicks is a quirky and original place that you will either love or leave quickly. It's not part of a chain and is small and friendly, although sometimes the live music can leave a little to be desired!
