Narnia themed bar, with a wardrobe leading to an eccentric little room, hidden behind a curtain.

Excellent selection of cocktails, including Mad Hatter Tiki Punchbowl served in a His Master's Voice-style gramophone punchbowl!

Random and fun little place definitely worth a visit

Had a great night in this (relatively) new addition to Shoreditch's nightlife on NYE. Atmosphere was very friendly, staff very attentive, and I loved the Lewis Carroll / CS Lewis twist on the rather ubiquitous flocked wallpaper / kitsch style. The bar / club felt suitably cosy and warren-like as well as having a large main area beyond the Narnia-wardrobe second entrance (complete with green astroturf floor as you pass through - nice touch). And I have yet to find out beyond New Year whether the gramophone punch bowls (!) are a regular feature, but they again proved a nice unique variation on a theme. The DJ was a bit *too* good (methinks there may have been a ready-mixed lp of breaks being played at one point...?) but who cares when the music was spot on with funk breaks plus just the right amount of hip hip, and proper tunes like Talking Heads' 'Once in a Lifetime'. I'll definitely be back in 2009.
