This pub has so far managed to avoid the modern refurbishment that so many other pubs have been through. It has a worn softwood floor and oak panels and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Food is served between Midday and 2.30pm. Catering for private parties of up to 20 guests is available upon request and seating on the pavement area is provided, weather permitting.

Superb selection of real ales and European beers (including frambosen and kriek). Down at heel in a cosy way inside. Gets very busy when the market's on.
