  Friendly staff, a mock-coal fire and comfy seats.
  What more do you need?
  Well, some snacks might be nice, rather than just a selection of crips and Cheesey Moments. ;)
  That said, it's a nice place for a pint.

  A local pub for local people...old fashioned but not smelly. Nice bunch of people - you get all sorts in there. Much better now than it was a couple of years ago, and not full of 'trendies' like the pub opposite! ;-0

  Newly renovated pub - which looks much better than it did before. Pool table, regular live music (sometimes good) and a casual/easy going atmosphere. new landlord seems friendly and it appears to be worked on/improved every time I go past it.
  
  Give it a try for a beer befor you head out into town.
