Reviews for The Green Man

This was my local for years - I loved it! A nice big pub, all good. New owners or new management mean the food quality has really gone down the hill - dreadful food now. And the last few times I have been there, there has been no soap in the women's bathroom, so I dread to imagine the female staff pulling pints and cooking food with unclean hands... yuck. One time no soap, OK, that's just bad luck. But four times? That's poor managment. It's Soho, so easy to find another pub nearby - avoid this one!

This place is fantastic. Its relaxed and has a great atmosphere. The food is cheap and pretty tasty too and there are lots of drinks to choose from. Its not far from the tube and is a great place to grab a wind down after work pint (or 2). Its a good place for catching up with friends too as there is no loud music to drown out the conversation. They do have lots of TVs though so you can keep watch on the world outside while enjoying your drink.

I will be going there again tonight.

this is a locals local,in the day time its full of the local market boys but you cant beat it for a decent pint and its not to badly priced,
on a night its full of locals, who want a quite pint without west end prices .
great friendly atmosphere and plenty of banter.
this is one pub i realy would recomed and you will mainly see the same faces

Considering that the average pint in London, is Nearer £4, instead of £2, then this place does well. This is a typical cheap pint pub, but the staff are personal, friendly, and the place has a good atmosphere.
I had a steak and chips here, and it was very good quality Rump steak 16 oz, cooked rare, and tasted good, at £9.95 for 16 oz, you really cant go wrong.
I returned another time and had an all day brunch for a fiver, chips 3 x Sausages, loads of bacon, 2 eggs, beans, mushrooms, £5.00 and great quality.

A pint of fosters is around 2.20, heineken 2.75.
For price, speed of service, this places gets a surprising four.
