Reviews for Sultans Palace

Visited Sultans Palace a couple of weeks ago after the football match.Don't let the nicely eluminated outide entrance make a fool of
you, when you enter, you have to go down into the
basement which feels like entering a dark cave.
Despite this, we still ate at this restaurant as it was late, and we were hungry. The food was very poor, just another run of the mill indian restaurant, trying to do what they can never achieve I think. To add to this the staff , were eager to get us out quickly because we kept them behind late.

To sum up, it was a mistake going there even
if you are starving and its the only restaurant open.

im a regular at the restaurant visit once every 2 weeks and i have tried all the well known other indians in liverpool but none come close to this. Yes u can go the mayur or spice lounge and the location may feel better however for true and the best indian food you must go here an experience it - you pay for what you get and so by bieng expensive but very you simply get a fantastic qualty of service as well as food standards! fully reccommended to anyone as they cater to individual needs - you can even get deliveries from them if you cant quite go that nice :)

Overpriced and overated

This is quite a well respected indian in Liverpool. It is quite confusing as the door is situated in-between a Chinese restaurant. sultan's is downstairs underneath the Chinese. This is a very English friendly Indian restaurant, the staff are always very hospitable and chatty, service is quick too. This curry house tends to be as a general rule a lot hotter than other curry houses, but tasty and interesting. Unfortunately their prices are a little dearer than other places around, however they are quite accommodating and will accept the Hi-life promotion. This restaurant is massive and will always be able to seat you even at busy times like during the Matthew St festival.

I have only ever visited the Sultans Palace Restaurant once recently on a works night out.

The venue was chosen by random pulling names out of a hat.

I have to say it was a very good choice.

The restaurant is quite posh really and large and roomy so you feel like there is plenty of space between you and other tables. Which when we visited was probably a very good thing as we were probably quite raucous.

The menu is vast and has really good banquet meals. The food was thoroughly enjoyed by everybody and the staff were very friendly and obliging.

Sultans Palace can easily accommodate large groups but there were smaller tables for more intimate occasions.

Definitely a place I will re visit.
