I had been to the bridewell under both the old name (colins) and the new name (jalons). The food is of the same quality as it was under the name of Colins. The biggest and most notable improvement is in the service which is vastly different. Before it was very difficult to get the right order or get someones attention if you needed something as the staff were usually too busy chatting amongst themselves to help out. The new staff are very helpfull, polite and very quick. I had booked it as a birtday meal for my girlfriend and I. It didnt dissappoint. They kept the old atmosphere with a live performer as they usually have either a singer or a piano player on. You have the option of eating in the restaurant upstairs which is more traditional or of eating in one of the several converted cells they have downstairs. They also provide a lunch menu and some outdoor seating for when the weather allows. Overall a good experience and well recommended.
