Reviews for 60 Hope Street
Recently visited here with a large party. The organisation of the staff before the event was brilliant, their professionalism on the day was amazing and the food was fantastic too. Reasonable prices and special deals such as 3 courses for £17.95 . Can't wait to go back! Order vegetables and potatoes as extras as the portions of the main course are quite small, although saying that we did get a whole chicken breast so they aren’t exactly tiny! The size of the puddings seems to be quite generous as people told me who had visited previously. The presentation of the food is outstanding, and the service really makes it!
60 Hope Street is Liverpool's answer to fine dining. "A London Restaurant in Liverpool", as A A Gill put it in the Sunday Times. I remember a similarly flattering review in the Guardian when 60 Hope Street first opened a few years ago, but the reviewer focused more on the prostitute propositioning him when he left the restaurant then on other details. Alas, prostitutes don't seem to frequent Hope Street anymore now that this is a dining Mecca (just down the road you'll find the London Carriageworks, the Side Door and the Quarter).
60 Hope Street is a stylish restaurant with impeccable service. On offer is equally stylish and impeccable food - contemporary British with a focus on classics such as fish and chips, roast lamb or Goosnargh duck. Also excellent vegetarian specials (ask for separate menu). Particularly good value are the set lunch menu and early evening menu for £15 for 2 courses or £18 for 3 courses.
