Reviews for Zorbas
PLEASE READ THIS DONT GO. Possibly the worst meal I have ever had.
When we got there it was a very nice place, then I ordered lemonade and orange my lemonade was flat so I thought never mind.
The starter was very nice but there was no oils on the table only salt and pepper. We then ordered chargrilled lamb chops and the kleftika lamb on the bone.
we got 6 lamb chops with a slice of lemon and the kleftika was like a cheap tin of chopped tomato with herb had been poured over the top (2 spoonfuls) served with a slice of lemon.
Then came our rice and chips about 20 chips and a cupful of rice ( no greek roast potatoes ?)after finishing and still hungry we paid £38 and nobody asked if we enjoyed our meal.
I hope nobody tries to copy this restaurant and would never go there again it would put you off eating greek food for life.
Zorbas is a friendly Greek restaurant on the corner of Hardman Street and Renshaw Street, just up from Bold Street, which means it's perfectly located for a quick bite before going out or a night at Fact cinema.
Service is quick and efficient, and they'll manage to squeeze you in even if everywhere else is fully booked on a busy Saturday night.
Food is quite standard Greek fayre, and portions are very generous. Meze (available as meat or veggie option) is particularly good and great value for money.
This is great when you are out in town anyway, but if you plan ahead I'd prefer the food (if not the atmosphere) at Eureka (Myrtle Parade) instead.
