Aldi branch on Smithdown Road, just opposite the Sefton Park Asda (which I am sure took lots of customers away from Aldi).
Sept 2008 - just in the process of being extended, so brave the building work now or wait until next month for the newly extended shop.
Aldi sells good quality food for bargain prices, and offers special buys, changing twice a day, ranging from camping gear (great value tent) to clothes (men's suit jackets for £17), to PCs or TVs (32" widescreen digital TV for £300). As these offers change twice a week it is worthwhile signing up for their newsletter.
Also good for all kinds of continental food that would be expensive delicatessen elsewhere!
